SlideGen Review
SlideGen makes it easy to create your Song Service presentations. It differs from other presentation software in that the end-result of using SlideGen is a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation. So if you are currently using Microsoft PowerPoint in your live church environment and you don't want to re-train your computer operators, SlideGen is the software for you. Simply use SlideGen before the worship service (at home or at church) to create your PowerPoint file, then show the PowerPoint file as usual during the worship service (using Microsoft PowerPoint or PowerPoint Viewer). SlideGen also helps you track activity for copyright reporting purposes (e.g. for CCLI). A free trial version is available.
SlideGen includes the following major features:
- Easily creates Microsoft PowerPoint files
- Uses your own PowerPoint template to control layout and appearance (samples provided)
- Print Song Sheet, Song Listing & Slide Listing reports (report layouts are customisable)
- Simple copyright management, including generating a copyright report (e.g. for reporting to CCLI)
- All songs stored as plain text (in XML files), and all data is searchable by title, song number, lyrics, and author
