Joseph Interprets Pharaoh's Dream
Main Points to Remember
• God's plan will overcome all obstacles
Vocabulary:
Pharaoh: the "king" of Egypt
Prayer: Father, we thank you using us to do your
work. Help us trust your plans.
Lesson: Genesis 41
Lesson Text: "The king and his officials liked the plan
Joseph gave them for storing the grain during the good years. So the king said
to them, “No one could possibly handle this better than Joseph, since the Spirit
of God is with him.” Read the entire lesson

Activity: Have students act out the dreams of the
Pharaoh.
Discussion: How many obstacles were between Joseph
and the promise of the dreams he had as a youth? (he was a slave, he was in
prison, he was in a foreign country, the baker had forgotten him, he only had
one apparent "talent" from God, he was young...) How long did it take God
to overcome all those obstacles? (1 day). We should remember Joseph when the
odds seem against us in life. God will still work his plan, and he can overcome
all obstacles.
