To Remember: Moses is an example for us. Our sins have consequences.

The last of the old generation passed away and it was time to enter
the promised land.

God told Moses his time had come. Moses asked for God to appoint a
new leader. God chose Joshua.

Moses addressed the nation, warning them to fear God, obey His word
and teach the children of His great works.

Discussion Point: Moses' sin
had consequences in his life, even though he and God were reconciled. Some of our sins
will have consequences even after we are forgiven. Discuss some sins (or results of sins)
that can't be taken back: murder, lying or theft (trust is destroyed), abuse (fear can be
permanent), [for older children - fornication], gossip (perceptions are altered), etc.
